The Dylan Larkin saga continues in Hockeytown, though the former captain<\/a> is trying to give himself the best opportunity to be shipped out of town.<\/p>\n

According to Helene St. James of The Detroit Free Press<\/a>, the Detroit Red Wings<\/a> center has expanded his list of potential trade destinations to 10 teams.<\/p>\n

Larkin made headlines back in June, as the Washington Township, Mich. native asked to be traded from his hometown team<\/a>. Originally, the list of teams he\u2019d be willing to go to was just the Florida Panthers<\/a>, Minnesota Wild<\/a>, and Vegas Golden Knights<\/a>. After then-general manager Steve Yzerman wasn\u2019t able to finalize a deal to his liking, Larkin tried to better his chances by adding the Dallas Stars<\/a> to his list. However, that didn\u2019t seem to work.<\/p>\n

Even after Yzerman stepped down as GM, Larkin still wanted out of Detroit. In September, it was reported that Larkin expressed interest in being sent to the Colorado Avalanche<\/a>, Tampa Bay Lightning<\/a>, or Washington Capitals<\/a>. Yet, in the past few weeks, nothing has changed, with Larkin having to play games for the Wings to keep his trade value intact.<\/p>\n

Now, according to St. James, Larkin would be willing to be traded to the Carolina Hurricanes<\/a>, New Jersey Devils<\/a> or even the upstart Utah Mammoth<\/a>. He has the ability to determine his future home, as Larkin has a full no-trade clause on his current contract, which carries an AAV of $8.7 million through the 2030-31 campaign.<\/p>\n

This news comes a little over a week after Larkin was treated with praise by the faithful at the Bell Centre, as Montreal Canadiens<\/a> fans chanted \u201cWe want Larkin\u201d <\/a>during the two Original Six rivals\u2019 first meeting this season. The 30-year-old admitted he was surprised by the reaction from Habs fans, but it wasn\u2019t enough to sway the U.S. Olympian to take interest in joining a Canadian team.<\/p>\n

Larkin has appeared in six of Detroit\u2019s first eight games, missing the first two due to an apparent injury. No. 71 has been a little productive, scoring a goal and an assist in his return<\/a>, but has just one assist in his last five contests.<\/p>\n
