During the homestand they went 3-2-0, averaging 2.4 goals per game while allowing two goals per game.

Joel Hofer stopped 30 of the 31 shots he faced in Thursday’s win. Robert Thomas and Phillip Broberg each had a goal and two assists. The Blues power-play ranks eighth in the NHL at 25.7% and the penalty kill is sixth at 85.3%.

Detroit Red Wings News & Notes

Detroit suspended Dylan Larkin without pay on Oct. 29 after general manager Shawn Horcoff said the captain’s agent informed the team he would no longer play for the Red Wings. Larkin will remain away from the club until a trade is completed, and the team has said it is prepared to wait as long as necessary. He finished with six points in 10 games this season and 649 points in 818 games with Detroit.

The Red Wings answered with a 4-1 home win over Chicago hours after the suspension. Viktor Arvidsson recorded a hat trick against the team that signed Patrick Kane in the offseason, and John Gibson stopped 18 of 19 shots in his return to the net after backing up in Edmonton. Simon Edvinsson’s contract situation and trade request also remain unresolved, with San Jose reportedly making a serious offer and Boston among the teams expressing interest.

St. Louis Blues Projected Lines

Line 1: Jake Neighbours – Robert Thomas – Jimmy Snuggerud

Line 2: Pavel Buchnevich – Mason McTavish – Jonatan Berggren

Line 3: Dylan Holloway – Dalibor Dvorsky – Connor McMichael

Line 4: Alexey Toropchenko – Pius Suter – Aleksanteri Kaskimaki

Pair 1: Philip Broberg – Brandon Carlo

Pair 2: Cam Fowler – Colton Parayko

Pair 3: Justin Barron – Adam Jiříček

Goaltenders: Joel Hofer – Jordan Binnington

St. Louis Blues Special Teams

Power play, First unit: Jimmy Snuggerud – Jake Neighbours – Mason McTavish – Robert Thomas – Philip Broberg

Power play, Second unit: Dylan Holloway – Pavel Buchnevich – Connor McMichael – Adam Jiříček – Cam Fowler

Penalty kill, First unit: Pius Suter – Jake Neighbours – Philip Broberg – Colton Parayko

Penalty kill, Second unit: Robert Thomas – Alexey Toropchenko – Cam Fowler – Brandon Carlo

Detroit Red Wings Projected Lines

Line 1: Alex DeBrincat – Emmitt Finnie – Viktor Arvidsson

Line 2: Michael Brandsegg-Nygård – Andrew Copp – Lucas Raymond

Line 3: Michael Rasmussen – J.T. He’s also at seven goals on 3.6 expected, a +3.4 finishing gap that’s worth monitoring for regression.

Lucas Raymond — Detroit Red Wings

Raymond scored on two shots last game and drives play as well as anyone here: Box Score Junkie credits him with 64.7% Corsi-for and 78.2 shot attempts for per 60 across 266 minutes this season to date. Six goals on 5.2 expected says the finishing is sustainable, and Larkin’s absence should mean more usage.

Injury Report

St. Louis Blues

Colton Parayko (D) — Day-To-Day, Upper Body, expected back Saturday, October 31

Ross Johnston (LW) — Injured Reserve, Lower Body, expected back Saturday, October 31

Torey Krug (D) — Injured Reserve, Ankle, expected back Thursday, July 1

Dillon Dube (C) — Injured Reserve, Neck, expected back Friday, December 4

Tyler Tucker (D) — Injured Reserve, Knee, expected back Thursday, November 12

Logan Mailloux (D) — Injured Reserve, Hand, expected back Wednesday, November 25

Detroit Red Wings

Mason Appleton (C) — Injured Reserve, Undisclosed, expected back Tuesday, November 10

Marco Kasper (C) — Injured Reserve, Upper Body, expected back Saturday, November 14

Albert Johansson (D) — Out, Undisclosed, expected back Thursday, November 5

Dylan Larkin (C) — Injured Reserve, Suspension, expected back Saturday, November 14

Simon Edvinsson (D) — Injured Reserve, Contract Dispute, expected back Saturday, October 31

Betting Odds

Moneyline (DraftKings, as of October 31 at 4:04 AM ET): St. Louis Blues -115, Detroit Red Wings -105.

Odds change through the day; check the sportsbook before betting. 21+.
