Whether that player is on the NHL roster or a prospect isn’t currently known.” Johnston said.

The Vancouver Canucks have been one of a number of teams linked to Marco Rossi in the last couple of weeks, with the Minnesota Wild and the Austrian forward not making any progress on a contract extension and the player being frustrated with how he’s been utilized.

Rossi, a native of Feldkirch, Austria registered 60 points (24 goals, 36 assists), 23 penalty minutes and was a plus-three in 82 regular season games and went on to add three points in six contests during the 2025 Stanley Cup Playoffs.

While Rossi’s size might be a deterrent for some teams, he could be a solid second line centerman for the Vancouver Canucks despite being only 5’9″.

The 23-year-old’s production this past season opened plenty of eyes and proved to everyone that he’s more than capable of producing, even with a smaller role and if he’s given the opportunity to play in the top-six, perhaps we could see another 20-point jump next year.

Previously on CanucksDaily

POLL

3 HOURS AGO | 194 ANSWERS

Wild Leave Canucks Hanging After Rejecting Aggressive Trade Offer for Marco Rossi

Do you think the Vancouver Canucks will land Marco Rossi in the coming weeks?

      CANUCKSDAILY.COM
COPYRIGHT @2025 – ALL RIGHTS RESERVED.
TERMS – POLICIES

                 …

[5128
894,1669,5,1486,10972,13601,4,893,27,8441,5313
0":"post-84020","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","5":"has-post-thumbnail","7":"category-vancouver-canucks","8":"tag-canucks","9":"tag-canucks-daily","10":"tag-hockey","11":"tag-marco-rossi","12":"tag-marco-rossi-canucks","13":"tag-marco-rossi-trade-rumors","14":"tag-nhl","15":"tag-vancouver","16":"tag-vancouver-canucks","17":"tag-vancouver-canucks-trade-rumors","18":"tag-vancouvercanucks
["GET
