Dervin is the third Nittany Lion to hear his name called this draft, joining signee <a href=\"https:\/\/onwardstate.com\/2025\/06\/27\/penn-state-mens-hockey-signee-jackson-smith-drafted-no-14-overall-by-columbus-blue-jackets\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Jackson Smith<\/a> and center <a href=\"https:\/\/onwardstate.com\/2025\/06\/28\/charlie-cerrato-drafted-no-x-overall-by-the-x\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Charlie Cerrato<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Dervin is a 6\u20192\u2033 left-handed center born in 2007 out of Gloucester, Ontario, known for his speed and two-way play. <a href=\"https:\/\/neutralzone.com\/player\/kieren-dervin-55344\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">The Canadian<\/a> announced his commitment to Guy Gadwosky and the Nittany Lions in 2023. It appears he won\u2019t suit up for the blue and white in Hockey Valley until the 2026-27 season.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.eliteprospects.com\/player\/577046\/kieren-dervin\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Dervin starred at St. Andrew\u2019s College<\/a>, where he totaled 79 points in 50 games this past season.
