  1. How tf did it take cliff branch this long? I've been a broncos fan for almost 35 years and I use to see highlights of him absolutely burning guys down the field it's crazy it's taken this long

  2. As a Raiders fan, he should have been in a long time ago. But it’s better late than never. Thank you for what you brought to the silver and black Cliff Branch. You deserve this. 🏴‍☠️🏴‍☠️🏴‍☠️🏴‍☠️

  3. It had to take LITERALLY DEATH for Cliff Branch to finally make the hall of fame. The same with Ken Stabler. Cliff should have been in there 20 years ago when he was alive. He was the big part of why the Raiders made and won those 3 Super Bowls. Anyone who played with or against him will tell you that. Yes we are all glad that he's finally in the hall, but it shouldn't have taken Cliff to die for that to happen.

  4. "A man can be as great as he wants to be. If you believe in yourself and have the courage, the determination, the dedication, the competitive drive and if you are willing to sacrifice the little things in life and pay the price for the things that are worthwhile, it can be done." –Vince Lombardi

  5. When did they start letting their family members speak for them? I remember they did Seau’s family dirty by not letting his daughter speak.

  6. Tampa C2 was invented in the 1974 AFC Championship Game by the Steelers in a effort to stop Cliff Branch. He should have been in the HOF 30 years ago.

  7. Cliff was something else. #21 in the Silver & Black. Should’ve been enshrined years ago while he was still with us. Kenny Stabler got the ball to him and he should’ve been alive for his and Clifford’s ceremony.

  8. I met Mr. Branch, it was the year he actually passed. I by chance saw him in a store, he was at a table sponsored by UC Davis med center in Sacramento. I didn't think to approach him right away but I did notice this stately older gentleman wearing a black number 21 Raiders jersey. I wanted to see the name on the back but I couldn't see it so I came closer as I looked at his face I truly began to realize. I came up to the table nobody was there. Was it really him? I said hello to him. He smiled and greeted me. I went ahead and asked, "Are you Cliff Branch?" He smartly replied "Well, I have been for 70 years." We smiled and laughed, we talked about football, the Raiders, the city of Oakland, his former teammates especially Fred Biletnikoff, health, family, life. We stayed for almost 45 minutes or more just chatting like friends. He was a real person. So blessed to have met him that day, and to have a real interaction with an all time great. Thank you Mr. Branch, thank you for being a Raider, and thank you for being a good man.

  9. As a Raider fan this hurts because he was denied this moment in his lifetime when he should of been in years ago. It's good that he finnaly got in but it took them too long. Let's hope they don't do this to other players who are alive and deserving of enshrinment

  10. I wouldn’t even be a Raiders fan if it weren’t for a chance encounter with him at a wal mart in apple valley, ca when I was a young kid. He took the time to speak with me about sports and school and never wanted anything in return. I still have the picture he signed for me for free after talking with me for damn near an hour. While the raiders have certainly let me down, Cliffs advice has not.

  11. What a wonderful tribute to one of the nicest people in the world. This has truly been your week with your birthday on Monday, your heaven-versary on August 3, the game on Thursday and the induction ceremony yesterday. You are still so missed by those you left behind, and to them, tons of hugs and prayers during this bittersweet time.

  12. Sad to see another Raider great get his recognition, posthumously. Ken Stabler being the other. NFL's feud with Al Davis probably had something to do with Stabler and Branch not getting theirs and Terry Bradshaw and Lynn Swan getting inducted, no questions asked. Branch's numbers were comparable to Swann's. Better late than never, I guess.
