DeGrom might just have the best stuff in the history of the game. He’s basically unhittable when he’s on. As good and clutch as Scherzer is, I don’t even think he’s at this level. When degrom is on, he’s on another planet. I’ve never quite seen anything like it. Maybe Pedro in 1999-2000 comes close.

The Mets have been solid so far this season, but now that DeGrom and Scherzer are back, they can really take off.

DeGrom is an absolute beast. Best pitcher alive when healthy.

DeGrom induced 20 swings on his slider and only twice did hitters make contact (2 foul grounders). Let that sink in. Unheard of at this level.

I been a diehard Mets fan since the Gary carter ERA. However, the Braves own the east with 16 division titles. The Mets edge the braves with pitching BUT when it comes to offense the Braves lineup is a damn gauntlet identical to Dodgers. Yes they strike out a lot but they are still scary, Swanson has proven that team can hit fastballs.

DeGrom is on fire
In the playoffs, a starting five of deGrom, Scherzer, Bassit, Carrasco and Walker is SCARY. But it also adds Peterson and Megill to the bullpen. Weve got May back and we get Joey Lucchesi back soon as well to bolster the bullpen. I can see why Eppler wasn't too stressed about the bullpen. Mychal Givens was a good pick up even if he did have a bad first game, he's been solid all season. Vogelback, Naquin and Ruf have been absolutely stellar as well. Were literally running on all cylinders and we look SCARY.
Darling said something crazy on the broadcast, he said that deGrom's fastball wasn’t perfect. I was like this guy is nuts, couple innings later Dansby took him deep on it
