  1. Sure, albeit you didn’t pick a great time to join. Mets probably would have been the more fun pick this season

  2. Even if we are standing on the cusp of the smoldering ruins of a season you can hear the rallying whisper, “Fuck the Yankees…”

  3. You hate the Yankees you say?

Welcome to the nation (of unbridled misery right now)!!

  4. As a NJ born Colorado raised and Texas living Sox fan, I grant you permission. Fuck the shit stripes!

  5. You said the magic words. You’re basically an honest to goodness Sox fan whether you want to be or not!

    Fuck the Yankees.

  6. I never leave the house without my Red Sox cap in Florida. The amount of “knowing head nods”, small talk about Boston, impromptu free drinks, discounts in random places and more is insane. There’s a knowing solidarity with this hat among Red Sox fans. I’ve experienced the same in NYC. You’ll be fine.

  7. Just curious why not still an A’s fan? Most people tend to stick with the teams they grow up with. I mean this is probably the worst time to jump on the Sox wagon but if you hate the Yankees all the better

  8. ✔️ Hates Yankees
✔️deciding to root for a team during one of their worst years

    Welcome brother/sister.

  9. Yeah you should be fine with those credentials, however what are your thoughts on the song ‘Sweet Caroline’ and would you be able to sing the chorus while blackout drunk?

  10. We’ll accept you but first you have to funnel a gallon of boiling hot creamy clam chowda.

And not that red shit either.

  11. You are welcome to love the Red Sox and The Athletics if you must. Welcome to Red Sox Nation. Get your ass to Fenway.

  12. If you really want to hate the Yankees, also be a Mets fan so you get best of both worlds, AL & NL.
