1. Game notes for today:
   – freddy peralta gets the start and he’s still kind of getting stretched out as he’s retuning from injury. i don’t expect more than 4-5 IP from him today which is cool bc he’s been really solid in a limited sample size this year; 29.1 K%, 8.2 BB%, and 2.19 FIP in 42.1 IP. a bit of a reverse split guy this year which really isn’t aligned w his career norms, but that’s likely a sample size thing
   – peralta has never been a HR-prone guy, but his 2.9 HR/FB% is a huge red flag; it was 10.8% heading into this season. i’m not saying he’s going to see it corrected by 8% today, but i wouldn’t be surprised to see yuuuuu crank some extra base hits today (if he plays); his .300 ISO over the last 7 days ranks in the 84th percentile among all batters (min 10 PA). lowe is the another obvious choice bc he just hits everyone well
   – don’t look now, but yarbs is starting to do the thing where he’s consistent and good and eating innings. this is very weird to me bc i was told by twitter user @rays4ever77521 or something that he’s bad as a starter and should only be used in a relief mop up role. he’s bulking today, but this year as a SP, yarbs has a solid 3.98 FIP in 36 IP, and a 6.92 in 17.1 innings of relief. hmm wow super weird. it’s almost as if he was never bad as a SP and ERA is a fake, misleading stat. just wait until his command regression hits, but either way he’s a solid 4/5 or bulk guy rn

3. Yacabonis opening ~~and making his Rays debut today.~~ Bullpen day. Yac and Yarbs for the bulk and I’m preparing for… well for the offense to be seriously needed today.
