Spot on: The best positioned outfields in MLB | Thanks to George Lombard and the analytics team the Tigers are 3rd best at saving runs in the OF with their positioning

> In the Tigers’ case, it’s working. Overall, their outfielders have converted 63% of fly balls and line drives into outs this season, the fifth-highest rate in the majors, and up 3 percentage points from last season. Their outfielders rank second in MLB in Defensive Runs Saved.
As Dan Dickerson was pointing out with Baddoo, he always seems to be in the right place.
They are so good they save runs for the other team too
Obviously having Greene helps but Baddoo has been in better position since coming back up as well, hopefully he continues to improve
Imagine how much worse the season would be if we didn’t have this.
This is good news, somewhere in the microcosm of baseball analytics we show some brightness.
Defense. Wins. Championships.
