  4. Hope we’re not rushing him just to try to find a spark somewhere. He has earned it this year I just worry about rushing guys up.

  5. I’m expecting 1 homer for every 9 ks…which should end up being like 1 every 3 or 4 games. ^^^^/s

    I feel no one should have high expectations or feel like this kid will single-handedly save the season (which I feel many might) but to see him put in so much work, do so well and legitimately earn a call up to the highest level of baseball is just so cool.

    I want nothing but the best for Carpenter, not just for us fans, but for him as well! Congratulations!

  8. Good stuff! He took some constructive last summer, put in a lot of work to change his swing and is now in the big leagues after being a long shot just a year ago. Not sure what his ceiling is but he’s earned a shot with the bat.

  9. I have a feeling. We are going to get some Brennan Boesch/Chris Shelton energy.

    Huge offensive output…enough to get excited.

    Then we will never hear from him again.

    Hope I am right about the first and wrong about the second.
