  1. I’m so worried Poole is leaving to be a starter on another team and try to make his own legacy.

  2. Please retain Looney!!! 🙏🙏🙏🙏

Now, the Dubs needs to find someone that can fill the hole GPII left.

  3. Going to sleep i just hope Looney will be re-signed when i wake up. Please.

  4. Sucks to lose GPII but I get it, that’s near 50 mil after the tax and we still need to sign loon to a similar contract and extend Poole and wiggs. Hopefully we can get someone like Bruce brown to fill in that GPII role at a more affordable rate but who knows how things will shake out.

  5. We need a center so Bob probably hopefully basically chose Looney over GPII.

I expect Kevon to get 3-4 years for 8-10M each year all guaranteed.

  6. Damn now we gotta use partial of the exception to pick up one of if not a combo of these guys:

    – Bruce Brown
    – Donte DiVincenzo
    – Jaylen Hoard
    – Cody Martin
    – Timothé Luwawu-Cabarrot
    – Justin Champagnie
    – Jalen Smith

  7. GPII is no big loss. Warriors have kuminga and moody plus the FO will find another gem for the minimum. Looney is way more important to retain

  8. Singing Looney and Otto should be the first priority now, when we do we would still have 3 roster spots left if we assume we sign Rollins.
Imo what FO should do is sign quindarry to one whether its guarented or not and then have either Belly/Lee or some ring chasers as last 2. Propably we would need a 4/5 Belly type player to have a backup at both PF and C.
Then we have 2 two ways who can be filled with either Lester Quinones/Eric Paschall/Jessup/Santos or any other player that shows of in summer league.

    Just my thoughts

  9. People out here acting like we have the ability to shell out tens of millions to every single player on our team just because Lacob has shown in the past that he has the desire to win and the willingness to go into the tax. People don’t understand that between how high we are over the tax threshold and repeater tax, attempting to pay Otto and GPII what they were worth would wind up costing Lacob possibly upwards of 150 mill, equivalent to the amount of most NBA teams as a whole. People need to calm the fuck down about “Omg what are we doing how can we just let him walk/how can we only offer him X amount???” as if they know how to GM.

  10. Why is anyone surprised?
Looney, our center, is definitely the only priority.
We got a lot of young guys to give minutes.
    We can’t afford GPII.
Otto was just here to prove himself and he did it.
We’ll probably pick up Splash Brother-in-law.
Bjelica is gonna go back to his lovely country after winning a championship.
I’m happy for all our guys.

  11. At one point, I wouldn’t be surprised if we just give away one of Kuminga, Moody, or Wiseman for future picks just because we have too much talent that we can’t afford to pay.
    Warriors: Suffering from Success.

  12. Ok, so now that GPII and Otto have walked it’s even more critical to sign Looney and maybe offer one of Poole/Wiggins an extension as well. The money’s gotta go somewhere.

  13. If people are expecting JK and Moody to replace OPJ and GP2, then they can’t be 3rd string like this post says.

  14. Man, not quite Dubs related but the Celtics are looking a lot stronger next year with Gallinari and Brogdan (if both are healthy) 🫤

  15. Roster seems to be shaping up good, honestly. More minutes for the young bloods, Looney is back, Donte looks like he’ll fit in nicely… maybe one more signing?

  16. Few thoughts after day 2 of free agency:

-the single biggest decision for the warrior’s this offseason is yet to come: extensions for Poole and Wiggins. My guess? They can afford to keep either Poole or Wiggins, but not both. They have to pick one of them. I would pick Poole, but that’s just me, mostly because he’s younger, not yet at his prime, and an extension for him would probably come in a bit cheaper and create more salary wiggle room. Or maybe they pay both, what do I know? Something to keep an eye on.

-The warriors roster continuity has taken a hit. They will bring back 9 players from the team that won the title (as of right now, pending what happens to Andre Iguodala; does he stay in GS another year or does he retire?). They will have lost JTA, Lee, GP 2, OPJ, and Beli. That is a lot of institutional knowledge lost. Are the young guys ready? They’d better be.

-I think one reason the warriors decided to let so many players walk is because they won a title, there is going to be a honeymoon effect, they should get the leeway if they struggle early in the season to integrate so many new pieces.

-I think the warriors are 100% sold on Wiseman, even if the fans and the rest of the league aren’t. I read somewhere that Looney’s third year salary only has $3 million guaranteed. Draymond is a free agent the same year Looney is going into year 3. That year is also, not coincidentally, the year where an extension on Wiseman’s rookie contract would kick in. The Looney-Draymond-Wiseman front court rotation has a two year ticking clock.

-With DiVincenzos addition, the warriors have 12 roster spots accounted for, and PBJ and Rollins will probably make the opening night roster. I think the warriors break camp with 14 players (to save on luxury tax) and that if everything goes to plan, Weatherspoon takes that final roster spot after being on a two-way deal for awhile (similar to what the dubs have done in the past with two way players like Quinn Cook). That means they have 2 more NBA contracts they can give out; they’re probably holding the light on for if Iguodala wants to come back, so if he takes one of those spots, that leaves 1. Expect the warriors to sign someone, almost surely for the minimum, in the next few days.

  17. If we can grab either TJ or Ibaka we should be in really good shape. I don’t mind getting Demarcus Cousins for cheap either.

  18. Did we not offer a deal to Lee? The Suns basically gave him what we did last year.

  19. I get that people are complaining about continuity but in the last off season who woulda thought almost every single vet min were gonna be valuable contributors to the team? They all signed vet min for a reason and thats also to prove that they still belonged in the nba and they did just that in exchange for helping landing curry and the warriors a championship. Warriors success is 90% on the key players (curry klay dray wiggins looney poole) and 10% on the role players who just need to be culture guys playing kerr ball and inputting their limited skills into the system.

  20. Is Juancho Hernangomez a good fit for the Warriors?I know he can shoot the rock, defense is probably an issue but I think GSW can whip him into shape. Forward that can be a stretch five like Bjelica or OPJ too.

  21. Honestly I just want ring chasing vets who are content with taking more of a mentoring role rather than an active playing role. I’d take LMA or Blake Griffin on a vet min any day if they want to help grow our rookies rather than trying to prove themselves. Then again, it’s a hard ask.

  22. I think Jordan Poole is next to leave if he has to continue playing off the bench. I really hope Warriors do whatever they need to do to keep and satisfy Poole.

  23. Lol that fuckin garbage from spears saying he thinks the dubs are interested in shipping all their young players and wiggins for kd is actually on the nba sub. Why do people give service to that nonsense? Even if simmons is shipped or its a 3 team trade, on what fucking planet to we want an old broken kd after just winning a ship.

  24. FA still strangely silent. Assuming PBJ and Rollins sign their rookie deals, that’s just 12 players under contract for our 15-man roster. Gotta fill at least two more spots, up to 3. I could imagine a training camp competition for one of them, but surely we need to sign at least one more vet?

  25. 3 spots left of the 15 slots

juancho hernangomez and glenn robinson iii will fill that size void and add an extra wing

  26. Eric Bledsoe is a free agent. Should definitely go after him. He can replace paytons defense and add playmaking for the second unit.

I would also say we need an extra stretch 4. Out of paul Millsap, Blake griffin, and LMA there’s not much out there and all 3 are health risk but maybe one could fill out the bench.

Jeremy lamb or Rodney hood to help with the wing depth?

    Dwight howard is another name.

  27. If I’m Bob I

    1. love my 5:

    Steph, Klay, Wiggs, Dray, Loon

    2. I’m cautiously optimistic about my young next 5:

    Poole, Donte, Moody, Kuminga, Wiseman

    3. Now I’m looking at my third unit at some rookies. I need some bench leadership and depth, ideally I’d consider:

    PG -Rollins

SG – Rivers / Lamb / open (Weatherspoon)

    Wing – Iggy / Melo / Hernangomez / Gui / open

    PF – PBJ

    PF/C – Morris / Harrell / LMA / Cousins / Whiteside / Open

I think I would shoot for:

    Rollins

    Rivers

    Open / Wearherspoon

    PBJ

    Morris

  28. Best FA still avalaible for the warriors

1.Justin Anderson 28 (high risk high reward player aka GP2)
Former 1st round pick for Philly, great (and i really mean it) wing defender and incredible athlete. Spend most of last year in g league where he really developed his shot knocking almost 40% of his 3s on high volume which was his biggest weeknes (form looks pure too) standing at 6’6 and being primarly a 3 or 4 he can fill much needed backup role to wiggins where we have the thhinest depth, really see him as a 3 and D guy. From what i have seen online he is also really liked by his teammates and is a great hypeman too which we may miss after JTAs departure.( i know its kindo trivial but nesccesary to some degree ).

2.Carmelo Anthony 38 (safe vet option)
Melo would fill two holes in our roster which is perfect (wing and someone who can create his own shoot ) his defens is awfull but he is still a great shooter and scorer .Besides his defense the only negetive is his attitude which frankly i cant speak about couse i dont know him but he often looks desinterested in games which is opposed to what we are bringing the vet like iguadala for.

3.Yuta Watenabe 27 (“buy low” option)
Another great defender high energy guy who hustels .If he can hit the three ball at above 35% rate he would be a good option at backup small forward .Fell out of the rotation for the rapotors mainly due to the fact that they have 10+ guys who are 6″8 great defenders and can hit a three.Would propably be more usefull here.

    Honorable mentions:Blake Griffin,Josh Jackson,Dennis Schroeder ,LaMarcus Aldrige,Damarcus Cousins,Kent Bazemore
