Weird how similar Beal’s looks compared to IT’s
The IT Era was one of the most fun eras I’ve watched as a celtics fan…never seemed like a lead was safe for rhe other team.
But the playoffs were brutal. Watching them target him again and again, trying to pull off switches to hide him. Team seemed it was always scrambling on defense, and you were just hoping the other team’s execution was poor. On offense he seemed to get back a lot, but you could see how exhausting it was play after play for everyone and all you hope for is a puncher’s chance at the end. Great teams, an abundance of heart, but it was an uphill battle all the way.
IT was so fun to watch. A peak IT (or a phoenix Suns IT) would be an incredible 6th man. Instant offense and shot creator.
