    > it started with Hackett calling timeout when he should — and having faith to attack from deep in his own territory.

Our head coach knows when to call a timeout!

Hopefully a good sign of things to come.

  2. There was a lot to love about last night. Special teams was good, the defense was good, Josh Johnson was good, Virgil, Hinton, Williams, and Brandon Johnson were incredible, the clock management was night and day from Fangio’s, Ryp wasn’t great, but he made some good throws, especially those two bombs to Virgil, Browning was good on the edge. The backup OL is good at pass blocking but rough in run blocking. I wonder how we’ll do against a more disciplined team next week considering we definitely caught some breaks with the Cowboys committing penalties.

  3. The only real bad thing to come out of last night was Griffith’s injury. Johnson looked like a capable backup. Special teams looked really good, both in coverage and in the return game. Blocking was shaky but we only had 1 starter in a for a bit, not overly concerned. I’m bummed for Tim Patrick but we had a ton of guys make plays last night, not saying we won’t miss him but it looks like we have a lot of solid options. Coaching staff was aggressive, love to see that right out of the gate. All in all it was a really good start, just need to make sure we don’t have any more injuries
