Not a huge fan of trading for Kane.
Yeah he’s a tremendous offensive player, but we’d also probably have to cut his salary in half twice and give up a ton, only to have to reconfigure again when Pacioretty comes back.
If Milano or Stastny come with a similar cap hit ($2.5), it’s worthwhile to only expend cap vs. cap and assets which would probably include a 1st rounder.
The only comparable to replacing Patches of the three mentioned would be Kane imo. Stastny is super old and Milano is super young, and neither have the pedigree that Kane has. Kane would play well under Roddy and that guy can score.
If Don can make it work by getting CHI to retain or getting a Third team involved to eat some of his cap hit, I’d pull the trigger even if we’d have to give someone up. If I were Don, I’d see if Kane would be willing to sign an extension at a lesser cap hit too.

He had more points last year than anyone on the current roster.
Kane would be an unbelievable pickup that would push our offense over the top. Aho is hitting 100 points with him on the wing and Teuvo would enjoy having his old teammate back.
If the canes can not mortgage the entire house on him, they can set up a cup champ for the next few years.
This account is clearly a fake no? The original account is still deleted. So why create basically the same account, when you deleted the other one? It doesn’t make sense. Seems like someone is just riding the wave of the initial one.
