  1. Does this mean the bears would be in trouble or just roquan and the other team?

  2. Apparently Roquan is using a fake agent named “Saint Omni.” Roquan may be good at football but he also seems like a person who would fall for one of those Nigerian prince internet scams.

  3. So he can’t talk to other teams and other teams can’t talk to him. He has no agent with whom he can use back channels to talk to other front offices. He’s under contract for another year, after which the Bears can franchise tag him twice. If he sits out this year, he doesn’t accrue the service time so he would just have to serve this contract year again next year. For that reason, the Bears don’t have to trade him unless a team offers a haul (which no team likely will).

Even with an agent, he would have little leverage. Without one, he has none. I think he misplayed his hand here.

  4. When you are only negotiating with one team, not having an agent is ok, if you are competent at reading contract language. If you are negotiating with multiple teams, it gets harder. If you are not actually a free agent and need to go under the table to facilitate a trade, its impossible. Somebody simply did not think through the implications of a trade request. “Just do what those other players did, its easy! They will have to get you what you want if all the Bears fans start rioting!”

  5. Still can’t get over how stupid this part of the situation is. If you’re trying to drive up your trade value or get a feeling for your value to the league in general maybe get an actual agent, don’t be having your cousin or some random member of your entourage call teams lmao

  6. Like I said Roquan is Antonio Brown-ing himself. No one denies the godlike talent and physical ability are there, but there is also a complete lack of any kind of common sense.

  7. Dude just hire an agent. Whoever this clown is that’s working for him obviously doesn’t have his interests in mind, he doesn’t even know the basic rules of the job. I’ve been giving an agent 15% my whole adult life and I’ve never felt like it wasn’t worth it.

  8. Wait…but if they aren’t a certified agent then it’s not breaking the rules because that person can’t be his agent…it’s essentially a Roquan fan boy prank phone calling NFL teams 🤣

  9. Judging this purely from instagram videos, Roquan seems to surround himself with UGA frat boys. It’d be funny if one of them was pulling the old “dude my dads a lawyer, trust me”

  10. Wait, those trade calls weren’t legit?! I thought I got a steal getting a stud linebacker for $4500 in Google Play giftcards.

  11. That’s honestly bullshit. I don’t blame him for representing himself. Agents, including realestate agent, are pure garbage!
