I don’t know much about his coaching, but as a player he was a high-motor, hardworking guy with a good head for the game. Exactly the kind of player who makes for a good coach later.

Hard to say here. My flair might be that I’m a fan of the Habs, but I have several hockey teams. The Jets are my 2nd.
It’s hard to say how Lowry was as a coach. He didn’t really improve the situation from the time Maurice was let go. I say that because the Jets have some other stuff going on in the background right now that could have affected their collective preformance.
Hard to give a read here for people who don’t really know the guy, but his coaching style never really blew me out of the water.

I mean, McFarland and Leach aside, our coaching staff isn’t that good going to the AHL. Bylsma wasn’t good with Buffalo and overrated in Pittsburgh, don’t think he does much for this team. Lowry might deserve another shot as the Jets just seem to be the most toxic team in the NHL.
