Since when were the Raptors and Warriors “Classic” or “Budding” rivalries? LOL

Since we “killed the dynasty”.
Since 2019
Were you in a coma in 2019 friend?
It would be a really fun rivalry if it was tangible
I hope Draymond does something to spur it on
We went head to head in the finals once. Its difficult to have a true rivalry with a team you play twice a year IMO
Should have been Toronto vs Philly
I know Raptors stopped their 3-peat but I’d hardly call that a rivalry lol
Why is Bulls vs Hornets there when Bulls vs Bucks is right there lmao
Yeah, feels like a weird fit. Milwaukee would be my choice for a ‘budding rivalry’ game. Chicago/Charlotte also seems weird, but I guess they’re using the Ball brothers as the narrative there.
We popped champagne in their house and sent their stadium off with the L of losing your 3-peat.
As far as bs reasons to call something a budding rivalry go, seems pretty understandable imo.
I mean, the nba is trying to turn hawks-magic into a rivalry because of a pro-am game. Wouldn’t take it too seriously.
Philly, Boston, Bucks but not Warriors
Not weird, both franchises sucked ass throughout the nineties and early 2000’s and both became almost model franchises around the same time, obviously the Warriors have been able to take it to diffferent heights with an alltime great spearheading their team. Both fanbases ravenous for basketball. Steph has also said it’s one of his favourite places to play etc…
We should be happy that we even got featured for rivals week unlike some other teams can this sub be grateful for once
maybe not rivalry in the traditional sense but raps-gsw have always been pretty great basketball games to watch
Classic would’ve been Raptors vs Grizz for the Naismith but the nba wants to forget how Vancouver got its team stolen.
It’s more from the Warriors perspective. We are the last ones to Beat them in the finals
Thank God it’s not the Pistons
We own those fools. KD and klay faked injuries to escape the embarrassment of losing to us. It’s alright thou
a finals rematch plain and simple, yall are overthinking it
Cause we beat ‘em when it counted.
I feel like Boston would make the most sense, no?
I feel like Philly, Detroit, and Cleveland would have have made more sense as our rival
1) Lakers vs Clippers Battle of LA 2) Only three California teams 3) 2019 4) Steph needs to be on TV
They’re not even in our conference lmao
Toronto vs. Philly and Cleveland vs. GSW
Like 10 years ago I would have said tor vs nets or bos
Last few years Tor vs Philly is the only relevant matchup/classic
I personally see them as rivals. 2 great organizations who build from the ground up. Just look back at some raps-warriors games, they are always close and fun to watch.
Maybe the league is betting on the Raps getting Durant…

I mean are we forgetting their whole fanbase hated us for the 2019 finals? Like the cheering for KD going down was a huge deal between the fanbases that caused a lot of aggression between the teams, I agree we have way better rivals to choose from but how can you not call shutting down their dynasty 3 years ago a budding rivalry
How is it a rivalry when they never come close to beating us in the playoffs?
