[Serious] Marcell Ozuna arrested in Atlanta on DUI charges

How can this not be the final straw? DFA his ass *now* and eat his contract. He’s a negative *ass*et both on and off the field. Fuck this guy
I wish the Braves could void the contract. I think he needs a wake up call with everything going on in his life the last few years.
It’s time to DFA. He didn’t get a single AB in the most important series we have played this year so far. It sucks to eat that contract but with all the good AA has done this is probably his biggest miss. Thankfully it’s not a crazy albatross that will hamper our future.

Not sure if folks remember the Carlos Martinez club fight several years ago, Marcell was present for that too (Marlins were in town at the time I believe).
Drunk driving is shitty on its own, but how do you risk drunk driving when you are borderline on getting DFA’d??

Just a feeling of over-importance/invincibility I guess.

Get this guy off the team. He already wasn’t playing well and this is the shit cherry on top of his on field performance.
So glad we managed to dodge that bullet. Honestly at this point the Marlins are coming out way ahead on their big sell-off a few years ago. Ozuna pulls this shit on top of the DV charge and Yelich is really just meh outside of the MVP season.

Get this man out of the Braves org and into a Floridian trailer park where he clearly belongs, a place where he and his wife can have window-breaking fights over who drank the last can of Keystone Ice in a more suitable environment.
If he doesn’t get suspended by the MLB the Braves should ban him from the ice cream machine
I don’t think I ever would have liked Ozuna just because of how poorly his effort seemed at times with the Cards. His off the field issues after he left have made me actively dislike the guy. Watching Alcantara put up a Cy Young season for the Marlins makes me downright HATE Ozuna.

I don’t feel bad for him because as adults we should be able to handle adversity without committing felonies. But you can tell his mental health/good behavior/focus/what the hell you want to call it is tightly coupled to him playing baseball.
First arrest for DV comes after a poor start to 2021 and injury. This comes after he does not get a single AB in our biggest series of the season so far, his role clearly diminishing.
Can’t have guys like that in the clubhouse, DFA time.
Ozuna and Tatis are two reasons why there needs to be clauses in contracts where bad behavior leads to actual consequences.
