  1. Makes you wonder if Montoyo’s public comments about Kikuchi really bothered some guys.

  2. Sometimes support and pep talks are helpful. Sometimes being booted right out of your current situation that’s not working and getting a kick in the ass is also what you need. It hurts a lot at the time, but it can end up re-booting your whole process in a good way. Not that I want to diss Chapman at all.

  3. From the day he arrived at spring training, every interaction with him I have seen is super impressive.

  4. Matt Chapman’s the type of guy to tell you to call when you get home then call you before you get home anyway

  5. Heartwarming, but correct. Kikuchi needs to get his sh*t straight. He’s dug us more holes than an undertaker.

  6. The team’s support of him last night was palpable. Results aside, Atkins has really put a good group of people together- a team. That doesn’t always make a difference, but it can help.

  7. Dude is a top drawer class act. Not signing him to an extension would be a criminal act.

  8. I have never been as big a fan of any iteration of the Toronto Blue Jays as I am of **these** Toronto Blue Jays.

  9. Springer and Chapman are the true embodiment of what it means to be a Blue Jay. Vladdy is our Poster child, but for the love of god extend Chappy. I love this guy and I think as much as we hate on Kikuchi we all want to him to succeed somewhere somehow. I think the pen is that place for 2022.

  10. Random off topic question here as someone who never did well in English classes in high school.

What’s the point of the brackets around the names and certain statements? Why are some he’s in brackets and others not?
