My honest take here, aside from the expensive cap hit, I’d love for the niners to keep him around. All these rumblings about him being a distraction/etc are stupid. Any fan who knows anything about this team knows that he’s a complete class act and would probably be Treys biggest cheerleader. Nobody ever doubted Jimmy G as a person, only his ceiling and ability to lift the team higher. Overlooking the cap space and also realizing the levels of talent we have across the board, I’d be happy for him to stay and I genuinely think the niners would too.
