  1. Geno went 10 out of 18 for 112 passing yards – but consider that Seahawks receivers had **6 drops, 4 on perfect throws and 2 on catchable throws**

That number should be 16 for 18. With DK and Tyler out there, I think we’re in decent shape

  2. IF the system works as intended and he balls out, at best he’s gonna have a kirk cousins vibe. He’ll put up the numbers but not win games. Just my opinion though.

  3. Show me all the metrics you want, he did not pass the eye test. The guy was facing 2nd and 3rd stringers – couldn’t make it happen. He looked hesitant all night.

Drew Lock did not have the same problem last week. Just my opinion tho

  4. Lol so if everything goes perfect….he the 20th best QB in the league….let that sink in

  5. Geno can be a Kirk Cousins. And that’s all Pete wants. Mid ceiling, mid floor. He’s less amenable to the low floor part of Lock’s game.

  6. Please let me know which dispensary is selling this industrial strength hopium.

  7. What a horrible take.

    Here’s three key facts:

    – Geno Smith hasn’t thrown a TD pass in 2 starting half’s played
    – Geno Smith left both games in a point deficit and never had a lead
    – He went 1-3 in 2021

That’s all you need to know.

  8. I thought Eason looked better honestly, he led the team down the field far more effectively

  9. So far they’ve played teams that are not very good and won’t make the playoffs and lost badly when 1st stringers are in. The NFC West is much stronger than the Steelers or Bears.

  10. We need Lock to come back from his sickness. Blaming Geno for him getting sick, he will break Geno jaw in fit of rage. The ensuing suspension/injury will force us to trade for Minshew. Then we will be rocking a WSU and UW qb room and we will all be happy.

  11. Top 20 is doable because there’s a lot of guys that won’t pan out, but damn when top 20 is your high estimate that’s pretty sad. I don’t think you can blame this all on Geno though. The o-line is still bottom half of the league, the offensive play calling is lacking, and the Seahawks don’t have a top RB to balance it out either.

  12. The delusional twists fans get themselves into… so entertaining. I’m now more curious about Geno’s post NFL career; obviously this is his last stop.

  13. I mean I can see it… In that number 20 is still bad. I mean, being number 20 out of 32 just means that he gets the starting job and we don’t do as badly as some people (myself included) expect. I mean, if the defense magically gels and the run game picks up where it left off last year, you might be able to slot Peyton Manning’s retired arm in at QB and land at 20 with a 7-10 record and no where near the playoffs.

  14. Geno is trash and shouldn’t start any team. That said the WRs didn’t help him last night at all. But even with our best I don’t think he’s good enough to be top 20

  15. So if everything goes perfect. Our WR crew stops dropping passes, our young o line blocks perfectly and without penalties Geno will be a below average starting QB.

    Wow

  16. Geno just has awful low energy vibes. I hate watching him play and every other series there’s a batted ball. I hate him.
