  1. Cole embarrassed himself two games in a row. Got shelled yesterday, had a temper tantrum in the dugout, then tried to be the big man when the actual big man (Judge) knew the HBP was unintentional and diffused the situation.

Guy needs to stop embarrassing himself for at least a game

  2. Was it this year or last year the orioles were hitting manoah then he obviously threw at third intentionally?

Judge clearly thought it was intentional at first and manoah wasn’t used to a guy bigger than him. That’s why manoah backed down fast

Edit: it was last year against Baltimore. He threw at maikal Franco after a few home runs were hit and was suspended 5 games.

  3. “If Gerrit wants to settle it, I get down really well. Anything. Muay Thai, whatever. Like I said, I’ve got an owner here past the Audi sign who will let me use his facility. So fuck ’em. I’m out.”

  4. Lol every time I see a Coke headlines he’s either crying about something or getting clowned.

  5. Lol as if this dude wouldn’t get winded in like 5 seconds.

Dude can’t even get over to cover first base from the mound.

  6. Manoah is getting a pass here because everyone loves to hate Gerrit Cole, but he can’t keep hitting people and not expect other teams to get pissed about it. It’s an issue he needs to fix. He’s already good, he would be great if he could stop plunking guys.

  7. Fun r/baseball fact:

If you substituted Gerrit Cole for Max Scherzer, all the experts here would be saying “you don’t want to piss of mad max! He’s crazy!”

    But you know…Cole, Yankees.

  8. Maybe an unpopular opinion here but I really do not care for Manoah’s whole act of hitting batters and talking shit.

  9. Try to clown Cole all you want but Manoah was way off with his fastball inside several times and had trouble keeping it over the plate for much of the game today. That HBP woke up the Yankees bats and gave them some life.

Yankees haven’t been in a scuffle or anything this year and they need some fire to spark a turnaround.

I recall after Gardner’s ‘slamming the bat on the dugout incident’ and Boone’s “savages in the box” rant, those had a similar effect a couple years ago and the Yankees went on a run

  10. I thought teammates were supposed to be fired up when their best player gets hit? Sometimes there is no winning I guess

  11. No shot Manoah hit him on purpose. You could see him cringe as he released the ball.

    But this response is juicy.

  12. Lol Manoah didn’t want smoke with Sevy earlier in the year. Man’s was afraid to leave his dugout

  13. He had nothing to say to Judge though… Hits more batters than any other pitcher but complains when people get mad. Fake tough guy

  14. If you watch Judge’s first at bat of the game and I noticed this and mentioned it to friends watching with me. Judge leaned into the inside pitch like he wanted it to hit him on the edge of the arm and made zero effort to get out of the way, just the opposite he leaned into it.

Then in a later at bat, gets hit by just about the same pitch only a bit more inside. I think Judge was just trying to get hit and fire up his team. Judge knew exactly what he was doing in this game. Watch that first at bat.

  15. Ironically Manoah did not walk past the Audi sign when he was chirping with Sevy from the dugout earlier in the season.
