Standard Beane move, Ford has been bad for too long and was probably on the fringe of being cut.
And a 5th is honestly an overpay
Well as a cardinals fan and reading all this sub has said about Cody Ford I am Less than pleased
That’s making lemonade out of lemons. Good luck to Ford… I hope he can carve out a good career going forward.
Thought he looked good recently but Beane getting value where he can.

Wow, I never thought we would get anything for him. He was one of the worst linemen I have seen. Seems like a really good guy and might have been a poor scheme fit but one of the rare draft misses and Beane gets a good return for it.
Bobby Hart might make this squad now.
If Bobby Hart was looking to make the roster, that says something about Ford. Wish it played out better than it did though.

If Aaron Kromer can’t get anything out of ya…no one will. He made John Miller look pretty good for one year. Turned him into an above average run blocker and a so so pass blocker.
I always felt like we kind of gave him a raw deal. We moved him around too much instead of giving him a chance to get solid at one position. I’m glad he’s getting a clean start somewhere and I’m glad we got something for him.
Hopefully a change of scenery helps. Good luck to him and the Cardinals.
Not actually a fan of this. He’s looked like our 7th best OL only behind the starters and Spencer Brown this preseason.
