  1. Randy is the hero of the day!

    Armstrong pitched a perrrrfect 9th.

    Excellent day for Rays baseball.

  2. That was way fucking closer then it should’ve been. Glad we pulled out and got our 3rd straight. Let’s sweep the Angels

  3. I like the way that WC looks! Randy lookin like he did in the World Series, that was a monster shot the other way. On to the next dub

  4. Would’ve liked da jankees to lose, but CHW and the Twins falling are a great buffer

  5. Nice to win, but sheesh. Work on the situational hitting, gang. I’m not liking that they’re not making separation with some of the worst pitching they’ll see for the rest of the year. And this is after getting healthy on offense.

EDIT: Good on Armstrong and Springs though. Forgot to give them props. Beeks especially sitting Ohtani down.

  6. Wins a win and I question how much low scoring just came down to bad luck. Only 4ks on the night so we were making contact but all our hits were outs or sharp singles outside of Randy’s dong. Hopefully, tomorrow is a little better in terms of balls finding their way past the defense. Also can we get an update on Thompson? Is he hurt? Why isn’t Cash using him? At least Herget is new and Cash doesn’t want to throw him out their to blow a close game.

  7. Love to win these low scoring games without much offense. Because you know the high scoring games will come and we’ll win those.

  8. Armstrong closed it out in 9 pitches – that’s 9 strikes – in the 9th. Also, there are 9 letters in Armstrong. Do what you want with that intel

  9. Get them wins, Flappy Persons!!

The Freight Train delivering on time again tonight. 2 outs and RISP he just tries to make contact and serve the ball over the infield to snag some RBIs. He’s done it a few times this year and came through again.

Randy staying fuego. If you want to see some absolutely explosive hand speed, watch that home run. Crazy acceleration and whip with his hands to generate that insane bat speed. He’s staying back on the ball, which seems to be key for him. Keeping the weight back on his back foot and really loading, which forces the hands to cock back and forces him to be direct and quick to the baseball. It’s when Randy starts getting his weight going forward too early that you see his issues. His front hip starts to leak and open up causing him to chase his legs through the zone with his hands, making the swing longer and not letting him be as direct and explosive.

Spring Ray pitched a gem, only giving up a weak flare to Trout for a run where he had to cheat and get 2 hits in one AB. Springs was also making Walsh look silly. They locked in on the fact that Walsh couldn’t hit his fastball and just kept pouring them in the zone. Great performance by the whole staf reallyf, with Beaker, Adam, and Armstrong finishing it off!

  10. This is the Taylor Walls defense we expected going into this year. He’s been making every play and then some lately

  11. If I knew I was gonna say this at the beginning of the season I would’ve thought I was crazy

Yu Chang might be starting in a post season game for the rays
