[Sturgeon] Here are Geno’s 5 attempts of >16 air yards thru 4 qtrs of preseason. With Geno being ahead on procedural aspects of QB play, I think these throws may have already won him the job. Lock still deserves a real chance to prove he can get to these windows and make the throws too tho.

  1. Sorry for so many posts lol- last one here! Fun video if nothing else.

Thought these were all great throws – people say Geno can’t make exciting or deep throws but he can.

  2. The common theme in all these plays is that Geno is operating from a perfect pocket and exactly as the play is scripted to go. Geno’s problems arise when the pocket collapses or things go off script.

  3. The Twitter name is really funny. Somehow it’s an extreme take to say “Geno is Functional”

  4. Geno is ranked 18th for YPA in preseason against mostly bench QBs, which probably pushes him to near the bottom of the league during the season. I think we can keep the job open for ~~a bit~~ much longer.

  5. Maybe I’ve just watched too much Russ, but holy shit Geno is tall lol… Dude’s what, 8’4?
