  3. I like the trade. Tht just couldn’t live up to the investment we made for him. Pat actually helped the twolves quite a lot last season, which is probably a big factor into making this move.

    If anything, no one can question that he wants to compete and win. Thats what we need, people who know their role and play hard/tough.

    Front office is still dumb af for letting caruso go though.

  10. I hate Pat Bev. always despised his yapping and dirty plays. But if he can help raise our defensive intensity and play well with Lebron/AD, let’s gooooo.

  13. At the very least, he gives a shit and will try unlike much of the roster like season. The lack of effort last season made games unwatchable. I’m still skeptical but maybe it’ll inspire others on the team

  17. I remember hating artest as well before he played for us. It will be fun seeing him being a menace against other teams and not against us… i for one like this trade as tht offered nothing and was a glorified g league player

  20. I have been a Laker fan since 1988. Saw us lose to the Pistons, saw Magic retire and come back, stayed down thru Elden Vlade, Nick the Quick and EJ, was blessed to see Kobe and Shaq come, grow and win. Was blessed to see Kobe’s and our team’s legend grow with Pau, Odom, the return of Fish and Bynum. I was excited to see what the young Lakers could turn into, and for a lot of them, they haven’t disappointed. Some have been allstars or sixthmen of the year, most have made the playoffs. We could have been something together.

    But then we made decisions it was hard for me to support. Getting LeBron was one thing, I didn’t like it but Magic and Kobe told me to give it a chance. And you know what?

    Exactly what I thought would happen, happened. The same shit that happens everywhere LeBron goes. We traded away our future for street clothes (who I used to be a fan of but now talks too much and plays too little), let the best remaining pieces walk or traded them for Westbrook (who I love but who was never a great fit with LeBron), proceeded to set him up for utter failure, trash his value and sign his enemy. I remember how I felt when Shaq signed with the C’s.

    I don’t think I can stay a Laker’s fan. Everything that made us who we are is gone since bringing LeBron on. We got rid of all hope that isn’t tied to him. Now we’re signing dirty players like Pat Bev. This isn’t Kobe’s Lakers, or Magic’s, or for fuck’s sake even Elden’s. I don’t know what the fuck this is.

    LeBron fans, you win. You came here and took over everything, and all our FO cares about is convincing you to buy tickets anyway so… It’s your team now. You fuckin ruined it. Enjoy the mediocrity.
