Every time he talks I lose more respect for him

  1. He’s trying so hard to act like he has a chip on his shoulder, it’s pathetic. Like nobody blames him for going after more money but don’t act like the chiefs did you wrong when they offered you a totally reasonable contract and granted your trade request.

  2. He doesn’t seem to understand basic economics. The Chiefs could not AFFORD to keep him at the price he was demanding. That doesn’t mean they thought any less of him as a player or as a person.

  3. He’s definitely been doing some “brand building” but I’m not going to hold it against him too much nor get caught up in the soap opera aspect of it except to bust his balls a bit in game threads maybe. Hill’s an emotional guy but I doubt there’s as much negativity/shade taken to heart as some people might make from his public comments.
All of the controversial comments he’s made has been “good for business” for him, good for the chiefs and Patty, and for the NFL in general — it’s built an entire pro-wrestling style narrative and people are talking about Hill, the dolphins and the Chiefs this offseason more than any previous summer.

This isn’t going to make me lose respect for him; he’s a young man with a microphone and a lot of energy and followers. It’s not that serious. Remember this sport is also classified as “entertainment”.

  4. Obviously we don’t know the situation to it’s fullest extent. But does he seriously think we have no clue what went down?

As a peasant, I just don’t understand why he thinks tarnishing his legacy is proactive. At this rate I’m wishing him a 500 yard season.

  5. In 2 years tops we will all be reassured this just had to happen. Colors are showing. Writing has been on the wall since last off-season when he refused to change his contract to become more team-friendly

  6. This is gonna end bad for the dolphins. They aren’t gonna win a championship, Tyreek will leave, they’ll be out those 5 draft picks, the dolphins fans will hate him, Tyreek will trash the fan base and organization.

  7. Eh….nothing burger. I’m sure he loved KC, the fans, the team, etc…….and probably thought he would finish his career here. He was part of an amazing run during his time in KC. Including a Super Bowl. Business got in the way and now he is in Miami. Hill will always be a Chief. I’m sure changing teams after 6 years is not easy.

  8. He set his own price and Chiefs could afford it….dude forgets a football team is more than one guy if he wanted to get paid like a #1 WR he should try not dropping so many passes.

  9. Meanwhile Adams gets paid by another team and can still say something nice about A-aron in his spare time. When you’re getting outclassed by a Raider, you know you’ve fucked up

  10. The KC chiefs took a shitload of PR hits to draft and keep him. They definitely didn’t think you were trash.

Miami wasn’t taking that on before you were an all pro

  11. I am thankful for what he helped us accomplish in KC. I can’t blame him for wanting the money. I don’t know what went on behind the scenes, but I wish he could just let it stay behind the scenes. I wanted the best for Tyreek but now hope that Waddle steals the show in Miami.

  12. He’s just the next AB, ego becomes personality. I’m happy he got paid and everything he did for us. I do think he’s going to find personal success with Waddle and Tua but I question McDaniels young pedigree comparisons as the next Sean McVay. Bills and Patriots still own the East. This season will be a fun one to watch regardless.

  13. All he has to say is that signing with Miami was a business decision. The money was the best decision for his family’s financial future.

And when reporters ask if mahomes or the chiefs are better than Tua or the Dolphins. All he has to say is that both are good enough to win super bowls.

  14. Cut him some slack. He may be one of the most gifted athletes in the NFL, but he is not the brightest person. He is easily caught with gotcha questions.

  15. The Kirk deal raised my eyebrows but after the Adams deal I knew he was going to leave a lot of money on the table or not be a chief.

If it was my son I would’ve told him to get that money

  16. Whoever kept him away from a mic when he was here deserves a fat raise and a lifetime contract.

  17. Whatever gets ya going, I guess. I’d get myself hyped up too if I was gonna spend the season diving after under thrown passes.

  18. I, for one, am completely shocked that he is demonstrating anything less than absolute professionalism. Did it take a trade to another team to realize that he’s not a great person?

  19. I mean, that’s cap era team management. If they gave him more money, they’d have to sacrifice elsewhere. He was great, but you can get 2 guys that each do 90% of what he does for that money…

  20. He’s trying to bring attention to the third rate organization he is playing for. Who cares about the damn dolphins?

  21. Nothing wrong with his attitude. If we had a top receiver from another organization saying the same things we would be so stoked. To diss Tyreek after the hundreds if not thousands of highlights, not to mention one of the greatest catches in SB history, is to me a bit out of touch.

  22. Tyreek is overrated and everyone will see by the end of this season that Tyreek is not elite without Pat.

  23. Every time he talks I gain more respect for Andy & the entire Chiefs org.

Because he didn’t start thinking this way the day he was traded, A ~~leopard~~ Cheetah doesn’t change its spots. But somehow when he was in KC he wasn’t making podcasts about how someone screwed him over or how a former teammate, friend, etc was not as good as his new teammate.

  24. “The Miami Dolphins are the porn stars of the NFL. A great D but fake having a great O.”

    *Quote from r/NFL*

  25. My take is reek is maybe jealous of our new receivers and he’s passively attacking mahomes to get at them idk and I bet he’s a little butt hurt about the love Pacheco is getting in that fresh new #10 jerse.

  26. His mindset is the same mindset as any great athlete. This is a rinse, repeat and nothing to see here banter from him.

  27. I swear every time it seems like it’s dying down and everyone’s moving on, he puts it right back in the headlines.

  28. He’s simply projecting. He’s going to have a rough year, it’s sinking in the more he understands the drastically different offense he’s now playing in.

It’s a good chance he will not be on ESPN the way he used to.

    Idk
