[Edholm]No final decisions yet, from what I know … But right now it’s looking good for 7th round WR Dareke Young making Seahawks opening 53. Has picked things up quickly — learned every WR spot — and impressed with his attitude/approach

  1. He was used a lot in the game and got a lot of targets but also had a *lot* of drops.

He must understand the system or scheme better than others or something.

I was hoping Bo would get the spot

  2. That’s good. The physical upside for Young is massive. If nothing else, they can certainly get him in some run packages for his blocking. Dude should be able to maul a DB with his size.

  3. I like his route running already, and it’s just preseason. Hopefully the case of the drops gets flushed away quickly if he’s on the roster.

  4. He clearly has upside and understood what to do schematically, just had a lot of drops. Frustrating but I think there’s a lot of potential there.

  5. I have to see, seeing Dareke in person he is an absolute physical specimen so I can see why they want to make sure he doesn’t get signed off the practice squad

  6. Has a ton of potential to be a productive member of the WR room. I’m happy for the guy!

  7. He’s had some stone hands pretty often, but he is a 7th round rookie after all.

Here’s hoping he continues to improve and isn’t just another forgettable player like Amara Darboh or Kevin Norwood.

  8. of all the fringe WR’s we have it makes sense, physical size and everything. All the players in Melton, Fuller, Johnson, Thompson (hurt), etc. are basically a dime a dozen in the league. When we’re talking late round/udfa dart throws you’re just looking for something that stands out.
