  1. Splitting this series is a joke. They should have easily took 3 of 4 against this horrible A’s team.

Also find it funny how everyone screamed why Ron M and Schmidt ain’t up and they’re the ones who lost the last 2.

  2. Based on the snoopy bowl earlier, the Yankees need to bring in Denzel Mims to give a talk about overcoming adversity or some shit

  3. This team isn’t even worth watching until the post season. Presumably they’ll give a shit then?

  4. Pathetic. A split series was not a favorable outcome.

Offense better wake the fuck up against the Angels

  5. Split series with the worst team in the AL, possibly all of MLB. Yankees are back baby!!! Woo!

  6. Offense yet again a problem. They’ll drop 15 in a game to inflate season stats and show “it’s a top offense” but we can’t score or hit for shit consistently. They continue like the last 2 months with this shit offense and they are being bounced in the ALDS guaranteed

  7. Yankees out here splitting series with the worst team in all of baseball and y’all “real fans” out here still saying they have a chance against the Astros in the playoffs.. lol

  8. I don’t anyone is worried about this team in the playoffs.

And by “anyone” I mean any one of our potential opponents.

  9. I know it’s been a rough August, but it’s not all bad folks. Take solace in that no matter the outcome, Cashman will be back next year. Can’t wait to see what zany trade ideas he’s cooking up for the offseason! Also, I’m hearing that if Judge leaves, he’s got a savvy one year deal ready for Michael Conforto! Lotta surplus value there. So just relax. The franchise is in good hands!

  10. I’m seeing us tuesday in anaheim. I bought the tickets in june thinking I was gonna see some historic team like the 96 bulls before my eyes and here I am now hoping we dont get double dicked by the Angels

  11. “bUt ThEy WoN fIvE iN a RoW bEfOrE tHiS.” This team consistently plays without urgency and desire. This style of play can and will never win a title. This philosophy starts at the very top a trickles down to the players. It needs to change before we can ever get our 28th title and beyond.

  12. Looking at the Braves lineup, I’d rather have their solid 7/9 than an other worldly Judge and pedestrian ops from from the rest

  13. Didn’t the same Oakland team sweep Houston earlier this season? We’ll be fine… /s (leave me alone with my copium) 😫

  14. Denial: Hey it looks like the Yankees will be good this year!

Anger: They got no hit by the Trashtros and they couldn’t do anything against the Trashtros! It’s gonna be the same shit again!

Depression: We have been an under-.500 ball club for nearly 2 months at this point.

Bargaining: Well maybe Judge can win MVP and break records before we lose in the ALDS?

Acceptance: Maybe the Yankees can finally win a World Series again next decade. <———————- YOU ARE HERE

  15. I am hoping we can sweep the angels. We seriously need to kick it in to gear. I know that being hot in September doesn’t always translate but this can’t be good in the clubhouse to lose to teams we should be beating up on

  16. There’s a really strong argument for firing Boone and the batting coach. Everyone can tell that there’s something wrong with the way this team is approaching at-bats. It’s as much in their heads as it is in their skill level, probably more so. They look completely lost out there. It’s the manger’s job to get these guys ready to play every game. You can’t show up for the Mets and then phone it in vs. the As. Boone has had weeks to right this team, and instead they’ve regressed. Firing Boone may not solve the issue, but it’s step one. He’s failing at his job—badly. The team is an embarrassment. Cashman deserves the hook too.

  17. The next six days are going to be really interesting. The Rays are 7 back in the loss column. They play the Marlins twice and then there’s a 3 game set with the Yankees. The Yankees need to take care of business against the Angels. We do not want to go into that Rays series (at the Trop) with only a 5 game lead.

  18. Judge is the only guy on this team that consistently exceeds expectations. Stanton is still Stanton when he’s not hurt, but everyone else..woof. Donaldson, bad. IKF, bad. Gleyber, wtf. DJLM, RISP nightmare. Rizzo, hasn’t hit since before the All-Star break.

Why do we never have a year like the 2018 Red Sox where guys can put it together for an entire season? It’s so frustrating to keep hoping B-/B level talent will perform at an ‘A’ level when we could literally just get the A+ talent for money.

  19. What makes it worse is the As Twitter is trolling us… IF THIS DOESN’T FIRE THEM UP NOTHING WILL

  20. I found the lack of urgency the last two games concerning. They should have swept this series. It’s like nobody’s head was really in these two games. I know it’s a long season but these games are important because you can rack up wins. It was a disappointing weekend.

  21. This team is not beating the Astros or the Dodgers, but since we won’t beat the Astros the Dodgers are irrelevant.

This is embarrassing and changes need to happen.

  22. > Struggling against the As? Let’s bring back Yankee Legend Chasen Shreve

And Cashman deserves his job how?

  23. Listening to A’s local radio and they’re saying the Yankees are too one dimensional and rely on the homer or else they’re easy to beat. Is that right?

  24. I really think Hal isn’t considering moving on from Cashman because he doesn’t know anything about running a baseball team including how to find a replacement GM. Sticking with Cashman is the easy decision for him since the money keeps rolling in

  25. I know they say a loss counts the same whether you lose by 1 or 10, but man losing 2 games to the AAA’s by scoring only 1 run on 5 hits total in 2 games seems worse then just 2 losses

  26. This team really sucks when I drink more beers than runs they score. ( I drank 3 tonight I’m not an alcohy)

  27. Imagine watching the Yankees the last 3 years (or 13 if you prefer) and thinking to yourself “Yeah we should totally bring back the guy in charge of this whole thing”.

  28. They’ll wake up against the Angels.

I really think this team will slowly get better, definitely not an immediate fix.

Regardless, I can’t wait until 2023, and I hope we see a whole new squad

  29. When you are 14-22 since the ASB, including 9-16 in the month of August, you don’t have the luxury of letting off the gas against bad teams.

It’s pretty obvious at this point that it’s an effort/attitude problem. They have no problem grinding out really tough at bats against top pitchers like Scherzer and Manoah, but don’t seem interested in competing against weaker ones.

After the Thursday blowout, it was almost like they got overconfident and didn’t think they had to play hard to beat these guys. For the team to have that attitude after nearly collapsing just a week earlier is baffling, and speaks to the lack of leadership in the clubhouse.
