2. I was thinking during the game, who’s the biggest draft OL bust in bears history?

3. Reading between the lines here, wondering if the dust up early in camp was Bears staff informing
   Him he wouldn’t be given either tackle job and he was going to now be a guard and Teven balked at it.

   So Bears threatened a trade.

4. Happy to see Jenkins settling in. But im a little perplexed by the quote “The guard position has more on his plate than the tackle position”.

   In what world is that true?

5. Seeing him body a linebacker in the second level on Monty’s big run is everything I need in Bears football.

   Everything I thought we were getting when we drafted him, too.

6. Getting a little more optimistic about the offensive line overall. I was very optimistic about Jenkins, but it certainly was tempered a bit by all the offseason drama. Funny how that worked itself out quickly as the team got out of shorts and into pads. He can be an absolute mauler at guard. The top 5 players don’t look that impressive on paper, but that’s true for the majority of NFL teams and the bears at least seem to have more than 5 guys in the mix. The Packers have enjoyed the ability to move guys around the line as injuries strike and Getsy seems to have that luxury with this depth chart as well. I kind of anticipate the sky to fall with 5th round Braxton Jones starting the season against the Niners and Packers, but should that be the case, the schedule provides a nice opportunity to rebound and the Bears have Riley Reiff in the stable. I don’t expect miracles from this group, but by seasons end I think they have a very good chance of exceeding their rock bottom expectations.
