[Pelissero] The #Chiefs are releasing WR Josh Gordon, per source. Gordon has shown great character on the field and in the community since he got to Kansas City and the team is open to him returning. But it’s a numbers game right now and he’s the odd man out.

2. Watson kinda came out if nowhere to take that WR spot. He wasn’t really on my radar before this year.

3. We all knew it was coming but still makes me sad to see. So happy for him to be able to put a full season in without getting in any trouble. Speaks to the culture we have in the locker room, and more importantly speaks to his growth as a human. Hope he gets one more chance somewhere else and I hope he continues to stay on the right path as he moves on past his playing days.

4. we did what i wanted, which was to give him a full offseason to see if he just needed time to click with the offense. sucks to see it didn’t pan out but at least we gave it a try.
