Lakers are still interested in Cam Reddish and a Jazz/Knicks 3 team trade

Via Marc Berman’s article, Knicks hoping to complete a Mitchell deal but would need a third team ala the Lakers

>According to a source, the Knicks are “hopeful” they can pull off a Mitchell deal without Barrett. The source says the Knicks would not have come to this Barrett decision if they felt it would kill the trade.

>Jazz president Danny Ainge likes Barrett but he has prioritized gaining four unprotected first-round picks for Mitchell, a three-time All-Star.

Lakers are interested and are targeting Cam Reddish in any 3 team deal

>That may not be possible unless a third team such as the Lakers could be added to revive talks. According to a source, the Lakers are open to discussions and still are interested in forward Cam Reddish.

>Ainge reportedly has eyes on the Lakers’ 2027 and 2029 picks. Knicks president Leon Rose has yet to offer more than two unprotected first-round picks, along with three conditional picks, which are not as enticing to Ainge, as reported first by The Post.

Talks are ramping up

> Ainge reportedly is trying to ramp up talks with other teams after Monday
night’s Barrett announcement by agent Bill Duffy.

  1. Literally everything besides Hield/Turner is a complete waste of time. I’m so sick of people on this sub who think that Cam Reddish or Fournier or Bogdanovich is going to make any meaningful difference in the playoffs.

  2. Lol these reports are so silly with how much “outside the meeting zone” these teams demand

    * Knicks don’t want to give up more than two unprotected firsts for Donovan Mitchell

    * Ainge wants 4 unprotected Knick firsts and the Lakers 2027/2029 firsts

    * Lakers are targeting Cam Reddish in return for Russell Westbrook

  3. fuck yeah. like i said in a previous comment, i don’t see how the rj barrett contract keeps mitchell from going to NY. if anything it may fascillitate the trade to happen.

  4. Why does Danny Ainge think that no one watched ball last year? If the return is Fournier + Bogdanovic (you can even add Reddish as a throw in), in which world is that better than Turner and Hield? People shit on Hield’s defense, but Bogi isn’t better than him, and Hield is a seamless fit offensively. Then you look at Turner, one of the best rim protecting centres in the league, can stretch the floor, and would allow for AD to almost play like a free safety defensively, something we know he is elite at.

  5. Would take Reddish, likely would cost us 1 FRP so all we can offer Pacers is 1 FRP which is still tight imo.

If we can get this deal for two 2nds however it would be a sweet, sweet, pickup.

  6. Fournier, Reddish, and Bojan or Clarkson for Russ and a first sounds great to me, our team would have more scoring and nice young player that could be a starter if he continues to develop

  7. If u can jus trade a pick for him yeah but to me I wouldn’t give up any assets for an unproven guy in Cam Reddish unless u can give up almost nothing. I say that because Nunn is a proven playoff performer and he’s young. Reddish has made the cf once but still Ion think u should take a chance on a 22 yr old who hasn’t done much who has kinda been struggling mentally on the court especially.

You might end up with a Schroder type situation. Cam literally said he wants to be a star. Ion think thats a guy u should get unless u could get him for almost nothing.

  8. Knicks only offered 2 unprotected picks for Mitchell? Sounds like we can maybe compete with that…. 🤣

  9. “Hey guys! 2 unprotected picks for Cam Reddish! What do you say?”

“So it looks like we will see Pat Bev and Westbrook play together after all.”

  10. Without Barrett? He’ll no. I know Cam Reddish is N9.1 on the “ fan fetish” list but that’s a stupid trade if all you get is him and the other cast offs mentioned in articles about this possible trade.

  11. I’d give up one 1st for reddish we could prly get that done w min contract guy like wenyen Gabriel (another player I like Ala Stan Johnson) could’ve used the marc gasol trade exception but they let it expire but they have the rondo trade exception… that could get it done…

No need for us to complicate the matter just keep it simple…

  12. Giving a first for cam Reddish seems like such overkill for what he is. Given he is very young so maybe he can improve with the right culture under him. But just not much to love about his game at this point.

  13. I believe the Minny players Utah received are eligible to be in a trade package sometime later this week. If we can get Vanderbilt in the deal while only giving up 1 frp, that would be a steal.
