  1. If Bam didn’t have a good game 7, fans would be dragging him too for his playoff performance

  2. Based on some of these comments, I don’t think people understand how exhausting Bam’s role is. Some even sound like they don’t watch Heat games at all or understand what they’re watching in a game. The games he goes off offensively are the games where he’s getting easy drives from PNRs or when plays are specifically ran for him. That’s not a coincidence. It’s cause he’s obviously too exhausted to carry the offense due to his defensive and off-ball load most times. The Heat runs one of the most off-screen actions in the league, with Steph being the only player last season who had more off-screen action run for him than Duncan. Most of these off-screen actions run through Bam’s screens and passes. He isn’t just our defensive anchor, he’s so much of our offensive system even when he’s not getting buckets himself. Pat himself said so much of Tyler, Max, and Duncan’s stats are thanks to Bam.

Can he get more aggressive when he does have the ball and he’s up against a smaller defender? Definitely. But he’s not a fucking negative or a no-show on the offensive end lmao
