  1. At 7 games back, do we still have to pretend the Brewers are even a mild threat in the division?

  2. Jomo winning and the Yankees losing is amazing schadenfreude, but I really wish Bader would stop being treated as trash by his hometown team’s fanbase because of such.

  3. #As a Cardinals fan, I would like to thank our pitching coach, Greg Maddux, for coaching the pitching. Had he not coached the pitching, the pitching would have been uncoached. And as we all know, uncoached pitching can be worse than coached pitching. So, I am thankful that Greg has been there all year so that the pitching could have a coach.

  4. The St. Louis Cardinals heroes of the game, per win probability added:

    1. Jordan Hicks, 19% WPA
    2. Tyler O’Neill, 18% WPA
    3. Jordan “Montgomery” Gumby, 17% WPA

[WPA](https://library.fangraphs.com/misc/wpa/) measures the change in the probability of winning each game per plate appearance/batter faced and assigns each player credit based on their contributions during the game. It doesn’t take into account fielding.

  5. So is Gumby the best trade-deadline acquisition for the Cards over the past, say, 10-20 seasons?

  6. I swear I just heard someone on the Dbacks feed shout “You ain’t shit”.

u/Returnof_theHack u/Willsears94 was that one of you?

  7. Wow night and day how the Cardinals and Yankees treated their rookie’s debuts. What the heck is going on over there?

  8. Remember when people were freaking out about this team before the all-star break? Pepperidge Farm remembers… I hope everyone can just relax and enjoy the rest of the show man, because we’re probably never going to see a season like this ever again in our lifetimes. This team has multiple HoFers, someone breaks a different record or passes a new milestone very night, dual MVP candidates… No matter how it ends this season has been absolutely magical

  9. LMFAO the milwaukee farters are a baseball team? i couldn’t tell, they’re always too busy farting instead of playing good ball. fuck em

  10. Got me a movie
    I want you to know
    Slicing up eyeballs
    I want you to know
    Girlie so groovy
    I want you to know
    Don’t know about you
But I am un chien Ben Deluzio
I am un chien Ben Deluzio
I am un chien Ben Deluzio
I am un chien Ben Deluzio
    Wanna grow up to be
    Be a debaseballer

  11. Cardinals magic number is 24

24-6 to end the season for 101 wins is crazy but slightly better than what they did in August so it’s possible.

  12. Even in the midst of an historic MVP & Triple Crown chase, Goldy – knowing that only by clicking on ALL cylinders can the Cardinals win a 12th World Series – has bequeathed some of his offensive mojo to CDick, Noot, TON, and even Yadi tonight. His willingness to sacrifice for the team knows no bounds.

Alas, only PDJ is immune to Goldy’s largesse.

  13. The Brewers lone run tonight was walked in, after single/walk/walk to load the bases. Followed by a SO to end the inning. lmao

You can’t make this stuff up.

  14. I am so happy to be able to watch

  15. I hate that the press keeps asking Montgomery questions involving the Yankees. He’s said so many times he’s done talking about it
