  1. I can totally see this happening. I don’t think Trae is the type to jump ship like all the snakes out there and they are good friends. Played together at Rico Hines run too

  2. I honestly dont want this to happen, as long as Trae is still good.

MPJ is not the kind of player we need at all and Trae leaving would be a disaster.

  3. I think this is a make or break year for the Nuggets. I can see them dumping some assets and rebuilding in a year or two because they are too good to get a good draft pick but can’t compete in the playoffs either.

And I don’t want MPJ anywhere near Atlanta.

  4. Idk why people are saying they don’t want MPJ here.

Maybe not on his current contract but dude is a super sized sniper who rebounds well. He would be incredible next to two passers like Murray and Trae.

From a theoretical standpoint I think he’s a great fit. In actuality he’s a big injury waiting to happen and his contract makes that a very risky proposition.

But Trae/Murray/Hunter/MPJ/Capela works pretty damn well in my eyes. Collins greatest strength has always been PnR, and Capela has taken away from that. There’s pretty much no available center in the league who can defend as well as Capela AND shoot the 3.

Myles Turner can shoot it but cannot rebound nearly as well. Our only way out of this predicament is OO somehow becoming a shooter, or trading Collins for a 4 who doesn’t have to morph his game to hit Capela, like MPJ. Even with OO at the 5 our defensive rebounding still takes a large hit, though I think a guard like Murray could help a bit there.

All I’m saying is you at least have to consider MPJ. Just wish his contract wasn’t so large, otherwise his injury concerns would be almost palatable.

  5. All this means is after MPJ misses 4 more seasons, he will sign a vet min with us to pleasure Trae in the locker room
