  1. Limited pickoff attempts is interesting, I guess they want to bring back the stolen base too.

  2. I’m a fan of anything that shortens games. The Jays have had some really long 9-inning games this year, truly ridiculous. The fact that this has already shortened the length of minor league games is a great leading indicator.

But I really really wish they would switch ball/strike calling to be by computer. Even checked swing calls could be done by computer and would then become objective rather than subjective.

  3. I’ll deal with all of this if we could at least get rid of the god damn Manfred runner in the 10th

  4. I don’t mind the rest, but the pickoff attempts is a little heavy. It really means only one pick off attempt because if you throw over twice then the runner has carte blanche to take as big a lead as he likes after the second throw.

  5. I don’t like the limiting of pick off/ step offs.

I am fine with the average game being 3 hours, games getting on to 3 1/2 though is a bit much.

This league wide average being down, but what is the average number of runs per game? what is the average margin of victory?

The shifting can go away for sure, get back to the spirit of the game. Like yes the game needs to adjust, but shifting isn’t a good adjustment.
