A little message for those concerned about Kyle Trask

The YouTube short link included in this post while being talked about from the perspective of Green Bay and Aaron Rodgers PERFECTLY aligns with our current future. We all know Brady is just about done with Football and this is likely his last season, this is why Trask got the playing time he did in the pre-season, we needed to see how he developed.

We have been lavishly spoiled these past 2 years with Brady being here and attracting all kinds of talent that otherwise would have laughed at us for even talking to them. Do not evaluate Trask like you do Brady, he will never be Brady, and we will likely never see anyone else do what Brady has done in our lifetime.

  1. Rodgers had elite arm talent coming out of college and was in play for the first overall pick. There is a difference waiting for elite talents to develop and waiting for mid-tier talents to develop. Comparing the two situations is rediculous.

  2. Trask sucks. Stop putting your faith in him. He’s a serviceable cheap backup that will be replaced as soon as Tom is gone.

  3. Can’t believe they drafted him in the Brady window

Everyone talking about him is a joke, let’s talk about who’s actually playing

  4. Next year (assuming Brady doesn’t return), will be a tank year with Trask or maybe a vet like Brissett. We will draft a qb the following year or (if the core team is intact) shoot for a middle/upper middle tier vet who’s mad at his team or looking for a bigger payday. I can’t envision a scenario where the team is built around Trask. In recent memory, what qbs looked bad, then ended up being good?

  5. It was smart to draft and try and develop a QB knowing Brady’s time was limited. Trask doesn’t appear to be panning out however and that’s OK. Hindsight is 20/20 and it’s easy for people to slam the decision now knowing he doesn’t look like he’s gonna be a guy, but that doesn’t mean it at the time it didn’t make sense. But making Rodgers comparisons is laughable. Rodgers is a top 5 all-time QB at this point coming off back to back MVPs, the odds Trask has a similar development is 0.0001%

  6. Trask can’t take the number 2 spot on the depth chart – that’s a HUGE difference from Rodgers who would have started had he not had Brett Favre in front of him. If Brady had left, Trask would either be 2 or still on the practice squad.

  7. Huge Gator fan and someone who loved Trask here. Gotta say I disagree. You’re taking one of the biggest historical anomalies in Rodgers and assuming that’s the norm. Wish Trask all the success in the world going forward but let’s not kid ourselves.
