Mike Reiss on Twitter: Stat of the week: Steelers were plus-5 in turnover differential in their season-opening win over the Bengals, while the Patriots were minus-3 in their loss to the Dolphins. After Week 1, that ranks the Steelers first in the NFL and Patriots tied for 30th. It all starts there.

1. Thank god TJ Watt is going to miss this game. Not excited of the idea of Wynn or Cajuste going against him.

   What I am interested in seeing is how George Pickens looks as we could have drafted him with either of the Strange or Thornton picks.

2. The Patriots have to learn not to lose before they can learn to win. Turnovers are one of the most accurate indicators of outcome. This defense is good enough to win games if the offense doesn’t make their life too difficult. It’s probably not enough to beat top tier teams, but it’s enough to get to a playoff game and win.

3. I can think of two missed turnover opportunities from game one. The Tua fumble and the potential McCourty interception that got deflected by the corner. Turnovers are a combination of skill and luck it’s all about creating the opportunities and capitalizing when you do. This game didn’t go our way but the defense showed they have the ability to create the opportunities.

4. Yep. Punting is okay, especially against the Steelers. If we keep turning the ball over we have no shot.

5. We’re almost certainly going to turn the ball over at least twice next week against a Flores defense. Hopefully Mac doesn’t get killed.

6. And the Steelers should have lost that game.

7. Well one of those turnovers was an INT that should have been an easy DPI and took away a 1st down at the 1 yard line, and therefore in all likelihood took away a TD.

   I still think if the refs call that play correctly the entire game goes differently, was a 10-point swing with the field goal that they got next
