[Fegan] Elvis Andrus on chasing Cleveland: “They’ve been playing perfect until now. If we keep winning series, we know that sooner or later they’re going to crumble, the closer we get. Tomorrow’s going to be a really good game for us to go out there and put a statement.”

  1. Breathe Feller19….breathe….

    Cleveland…beat their fucking ass tomorrow.

I’m two steps from going full blown playoff mode.

Elvis’ comment may have just put me over the edge.

  2. Translation: The Gaurdians ain’t had a piece of shit manager this whole goddamn time so it’s basically cheating.

  3. I’m sorry, but even if you win, it isn’t a “statement” to win a game where we start a dude with a 21 ERA because we have a crucial double header in two days. Especially when doing so improves you to being 7-9 in the season series.

  4. I know Andrus owns Cleveland throughout his career, but this is rich when the White Sox are the only team at or above .500 in the MLB with a negative run differential.

If Cleveland has been playing “perfect” then Chicago has been playing lucky, right?

  5. Guardians have proven many people wrong this season. It’s like the Cavs last season. Shoot, the Cavs had the second best record in the Eastern Conference after a few months last season. And I was having a good kick out of knowing that. It was freaky but funny at the same time. Back to the Guardians, they keep on doing a great job of developing their players. Bieber and McKenzie are great examples of that. Kids playing a big part of the Guardians’ success this season. The Guardians will be tough to beat because they have a strong pitching staff. ☀️☀️☀️2️⃣0️⃣2️⃣2️⃣⭐️⭐️⭐️🤨🤨🤨😂😂😂😎😎😎👏👏👏🍿🍿🍿🥤🥤🥤🎄🎄🎄🖊🖊🖊📖📖📖

  6. I turned on the Rockies vs Sox game to root for Colorado after the Cleveland game ended. Wanna know the first play I saw? It was Elvis Andrus throwing a ball into the dugout on a routine ground ball where he had all the time in the world.

I also like how he says “keep winning series” as if his team didn’t just scrape by with a split against a cellar dweller.

  7. Far from perfect, bud. Just four games better than a talented yet underachieving team coached by a chronic drunk driving corpse.

If we somehow win tomorrow with Gaddis tossing, they are in serious trouble. If we lose, they didn’t make a statement. They did what they should do.

  8. Hoping the other team is not as good as they have been playing and collapses in the final 3 weeks is not where you want to be.

  9. I mean they’re young… But you have underachieved all season just keep your head down and say it’s a good opportunity to gain ground… Sheesh.

Guardians don’t talk, they just play ball. And never let up. Can’t wait for Naylor to hit another grand slam and talk shit.

  10. Hate the White Sox. I hope the Guards do make a statement. And at the end the PA announcer says “Elvis has left the building”!
