Larry Brown and his hatred of rookies doomed that U.S. team
Walter Herrmann forever a legend
You know you fucked up bad when one of the few times you get beaten there’s an uproar.
Now this is actually something to celebrate.
I can’t stop laughing thinking about how they’re gonna try and paint the USA men’s basketball team as plucky underdogs who proved everyone wrong with a courageous and brave run to the medal.
One of the darkest moments in US history
Where can I watch this full thing? Or is this it ?
That Argentina team was really cool.
They didn’t just lose to Argentina. People sometimes forget they lost to Puerto Rico and Lithuania during the group stage. In fact, they finished 4th in their group, so they barely even made the knockout stage. In the first round of the knockout stage, if it weren’t for Marbury going off, they also woulda lost to Spain. Losing to Argentina wasn’t even the worst loss. Puerto Rico had Carlos Arroyo and a bunch of players no one knows.
It’s what happens when you have Melo on the squad
I much rather watch this one than the Netflix Redeem Team Doc
Credit to Argentina, but this USA squad didn’t have our best players. I remember thinking it at the time. No KG, Kobe, Shaq, TMAC, Kidd, Ray Allen…
USA bball’s dominance doesn’t end until teams can beat our top tier talent with their top tier talent. It was however, a wake up call to take the rest of the world seriously.
Man i love those argentinians
Nocioni and delfino were pretty special in my heart. Always rooted for them
Let’s be real. The success of this Argentinian team is just America not giving a shit
