Damn I thought Dillon Peters might be a big spot in the bullpen after his hot start this year
I understand them getting rid of The Venerable Beede, but not Peters. He did some good work for us last year and was pitching well again in 2022 before he got hurt. Serviceable lefthanders don’t grow on trees.
My only thought is that they’re trying to make space on the 40 man for the rule 5 draft. By taking peters off now, teams might be less likely to select him if they’ve already passed on his waivers selection?
