To clarify: Who we wanted Nick Madrigal to be* I know he sucks way more this year.

Agreed, however, who *really* is hitting for any sort of power this year?
Ok. But who would play shortstop?
Part of the problem with this season has been a lot of players playing out of position. Sure, move TA to 2B and have Mendick playing SS, but then Mendick goes down for the year. 3 months without a true SS until Andrus became available.
Now, if you’re talking about what to do when TA returns, I’m all for giving him a shot at 2B. Go after one of the big name SS in FA and pull a Godfather on them, make ’em an offer they can’t refuse.
