Joe Lombardi calls the offensive plays
Bad effort by Everett, that’s pretty clear. But am I crazy by thinking it was a pretty terrible pass as well? Herbert seems to be getting a free pass because Herbstreit pointed out that Everett was tired after the fact.
But, like…that ball was a solid 2 feet off the mark.
I think he was trying to sub out on his side of the field, right? Why they weren’t ready is a mystery.
Are people slowly coming to the realization that Brandon Staley is kind of an idiot?
Kurt Benkert’s breakdown of this play makes it pretty clear this pick was on Herbert. He shouldn’t have thrown it late into the flat, least of all throwing it outside to an obviously gassed receiver.
