Defense was unstoppable in the first half, washington adjusted in the 2nd but that showing is incredibly promising. One thing they really need to clean up is securing backfield tackles. saw some of it last week, saw even more of it this week. but knowing we are more than capable of consistently getting to the QB is great to see. Hutch with 3 sacks, he’s gonna be incredible.
Goff has to clean it up a little, but overall hard to complain about 4 TDs and 0 INTs. Swift is an absolute beast, could definitely be a top 3 running back this year. and of course sun god playing like a sun god.
guys, this was not a perfect game, but you can’t tell me you’re not excited and hopeful for this team after watching that. holy shit what a great game to watch as a lions fan

We aren’t a team built to coast, we need to be attacking. Our Q3 would have been better if we kept up on pressure and man instead of getting passive.

Good game y’all. you have a really good team that first half performance from your defense was unreal. We tried to crawl back but St. brown was just that guy today. things are def trending up for the Lions.
The 3rd and 4 when Swift picked up the broken play pass and ran for a TD was the tide-changer. If we didn’t get that I can see this game turning the other way.
Honestly one of the best Lions games I’ve seen in years. They won a game they were supposed to win. They weren’t perfect but they kept making plays. Adding points. Getting stops. No bad penalties. I hate that hutch is limping around but dude is the real deal. They’ve turned a corner. It might not be the last corner they need to turn but it’s one in right direction.
That’s what you want to see. The defense held out as long as they could and the offense not only built a lead, but was able to close it the fuck out towards the end.
Despite all the injuries, the Lions looked like the better team today, and that is a testament to our coaching staff. This roster is not superior to the Washington roster. It simply is not, but today they looked like it. That’s good gameplanning. That’s good execution. Good on the coaches, good on the players.
Hank Farley, doesn’t get the credit he deserves. The O line is looking solid even with the backups.
That had to be the lowest number of penalty yards in a game in the history of the franchise. That’s the biggest take away for me.
