We know for a fact that the Matt Canada offense works. He stretches the defense with a series of plays, systematically gearing up for a backbreaking money shot down. A lot of fans don’t understand this. He’s a chess player, always setting up his checkmate.
The problem is Trubisky. He can’t see wide open players. He’s inaccurate and makes the wrong reads. It doesn’t matter what Canada cooks up if Trubisky is going to botch it all anyway.
It’s not fair to judge Matt Canada yet.
I thought for sure, FOR ONCE, in the last 15 years of Steelers Reddit, y’all would realize you can’t just blame the OC for everything.
Are we watching the same goddamn games? Are you not seeing trubisky WITH TIME sit there. And sit there.
Are you not seeing trubisky scrambling to the side line, followed by throwing it away/running out of bounds/getting a yard rushing?
We have 3 receivers that excel in winning 50/50 balls. And what does he do? Check down, checkdown, checkdown…
If it wasn’t for our oc making unique designs, creative play calling, adjusting by drive (for example, the running out of shotgun that opened things up towards the end), this qb would have a passer rating under 50.
The o line is fine, the qb has time, the oc is doing everything he can to get us positive yardage.
Seriously, open your eyes.

100% doesn’t matter what qb we have. Those are the plays.
They’re treating Mitch as if he were a rookie, so why not just put the actual rookie in.
