  1. Org thinks it’s mainly Canada. Fans think it’s mainly Trubisky. Geniunely wondering who’s the most right.

  2. Sounds like a lot of the players are throwing Canada and Mitch under the bus. I don’t disagree but it’s a bad look to be so public about it. Bad locker room culture.

  3. The players aren’t going to call out Trubisky bc they’re coworkers that’s awkward af. They’re blaming just general play calling. It’s clearly Trubisky who is ass

  4. This is ideal. Players publicly voicing their discontent with the playcalling week 2 will hopefully get Canada fired asap. Whatever gets that fucker out of Pittsburgh the quickest is the right path

  5. I for one welcome Canada’s mutiny

Note to Tomlin, stop dumpster diving and internal-hiring just for the sake of it

  6. Canada is Ben’s do-boy. Ben is gone now. Time to go and take that Jr league “college offense” with you.

  7. The most telling statistic about Canada was that insane streak where the Steelers could not score on the opening drive. These are the scripted plays that Canada drew up specially for the game. He failed almost every week.

  8. Canada constipated offense looks like even the strongest kolonic couldn’t fix it. Trubisky looks like a back up QB filling in. But even with all that, had Gunner not dropped the punt they would have won. How is he dodging the criticism?

  9. Well hopefully this puts some gas on canadas seat. It’s like he grabs the other controller. Goes three and out, then plays again as the team he really wants to be on.

  10. I was all for giving Canada a chance to show what he can do without a washed up QB, but after two games and only putting up two TDs and an offense that can’t move the ball to save their life, perhaps it’s time to give play calling duties to someone else and start thinking of replacing Canada permanently. Yes, there are other factors, but fuck this shit is hard to watch. It’s the same shit from last year and the only common dominator is Canada (o-line excluded because there is some new players, even with similar results).

  11. I think the only way we rid ourselves of Canada is to put Pickett in and he falls flat. I don’t want the kid to fail, but I imagine either he saves Canada’s bacon, which I’d be thrilled with, or he fizzles, and Canada is shown the door.

  12. There’s multiple factors in the lack of offensive production. Canada’s play calling isn’t right and a bit passive and then you also have Trubisky afraid to take risks.

Someone needs to really sit Trubisky down and tell him “you are our guy and you need to have faith in your teammates and your ability”.

You can see it in the way Trubisky has been deciding where to throw the ball through the first 2 games. There is genuine fear in him to throw the ball deep, I assume because he’s worried about creating turnovers and being labeled a dud like the Chicago fans and media did to him while he was QB there. The patriots game was a prime example of this. He didn’t do anything to lose the game but he definitely didn’t do anything to WIN the game either. You have to take shots downfield and have faith that the Steelers(BIG & STRONG) receivers will go up and win those deep balls.

There’s a reason the Steelers have drafted all these big, tall, and strong receivers over the last few years so that we have the guys there to go up and win those 50/50 balls. They can’t win those jump balls though if the QB doesn’t throw the ball more than 7yds downfield though.

It might already be time to switch to Pickett because he doesn’t have any opinions of his play style yet so maybe he would go into the game and take those deep shots that Trubisky appears to be afraid to take.

This has been my view of what’s happening so far this season. We can’t rely solely on our defense to win every game. Yea our defense will keep us in games that we might not normally be in and win a few games for us against teams with bad defenses and not great offenses but they can’t do it all themselves, even though they basically have up to this point.

It’s time to air it out and have some confidence or we will just keep dinking and dunking our way to 8-9 win seasons and never make it past wild card round playoff games, if we are lucky!!!

Go and play with no fear Mitch!!!!! Play like you’re new to the league with no reputation Mitch!!!!

  13. I’m not seeing much from Canadas play calling honestly. I can’t really tell you how good Mitch is because he’s running basically the same half dozen predictable plays every game.

The Steelers have not had good coordinators since Arians and LeBeau. I’m not sure if that’s Tomlin or someone above him, but it becomes more and more clear every year.

  14. It’s funny how even the players shows their discontent but the “fans” here keep supporting the way things are going inside the team and their obvious mistakes.

  15. >there were arguments in the huddle about playcalling

If you watch the video, that’s not what he said. He was speaking generally rather than referencing a specific event. Canada sucks but making shit up is dumb.

  16. Im surprised to hear that players were openly disagreeing with plays in the huddle. That suggests a serious breach of team spirit.

  17. It’s very easy to see why the offense is so bad when your coordinator is terrible and so is your QB. Add in a below average O-line and this offense looks exactly as you’d expect it to.

  18. Yinz acting like you didn’t know what we were getting when we signed trubisky. What do you expect an OC to do with a below average QB and an abysmal offensive line? This is pretty much what I expected

  19. Tomlin is in charge of all of these guys you are fingering the blame on. It’s his responsibility to make half time adjustments and to discipline players or his coaches if they are sucking at their jobs. Yet the second anyone blames him people bring up his winning record (despite not having been to a super bowl in over a decade)
