Don’t forget Tyler Dorsey is an NBA rotation player and while 29 other teams realize he’s not, the fact that Cuban thinks he is means we don’t need to sign anyone else.
Front office is trying to save their draft picks for a true #2 to pair with Luka. They are essentially hoping that a player of Jaylen Brown’s caliber becomes available, and that whatever team is trading him wants our assets. We need to have all our own assets available to make a compelling offer.
It’s a waiting game for the next 1.5 years to clear cap space and wait for a big trade. It’s risky and may result in us continuing to re-tool with only minor improvements ultimately leading to Luka leaving us…. OR we hit on a big trade and win 10 championships. Either way, nothing is happened anytime soon that involves us sending away any form of an asset. Get over it.
