  1. Dyson Daniels was part of the NBA G League Ignite roster, where he averaged 12 points, 7.1 rebounds, 5.1 assists and two steals per game.

Unfortunately, as the 2022 NBA Summer League began, Daniels who played his first game as a Pelican, suffered a right ankle sprain during the game against the Portland Trail Blazers. He then became ruled out for the whole summer league games due to his injury.

But hey, the good news is, according to a report by Chris Dodson, Pelicans scoop writer, Daniels is “Close to 100 Percent” going into the Pelicans Training Camp which was posted on July 21, 2022. The Australian basketball community can now assume that Dyson is already 100 percent to this day.

  2. If Daniels is anywhere close to ROY contention, the Pels are winning it all. I don’t think he’ll get anywhere close to enough PT.

I expect he sits a lot like Trey did last year.

  3. And for context. The two Australians they are talking about that have won ROY is Ben Simmons and……………. Kyrie Irving 😭

  4. Answer quick NO maybe HeLL No! So much has go wrong for us injury wise for him get min and even then Paolo is gonna crush league & avg no less than 18ppg – low 20s! Dyson game we hardly even know about?! there’s not enough video highlights even judge him as player, but from what i hear he’s a mold sorta like guy before him Josh Giddey just w more athleticism and defense. Good passer, rebounding, good IQ but isn’t guy gonna give you 20. More of a all around triple dub 10-10-10 guy if anything. Idk maybe that’s just a Australian thing w Ben Simmons, Giddey, & now Dyson
