  1. That’s probably fair. He’s not great for his role on this team but he’s it’s not like he’s not an NBA player like people are saying

  2. * Can’t defend
    * Can’t shoot
    * Low IQ
    * Lacks self awareness
    * Doesn’t respond well to criticism

    Yeah, this is too high.

  3. Russ had a negative BPM this year, -1.6 to be exact. Other advanced stats PROVE he is a certified NEGATIVE. Add in the eye test from watching him this past season where he was left wide open but was still trash.

    Can’t defend, turns it over way too much, can’t shoot, paid $47 million, and will result in a wasted season if he is not traded.

    They are already talking about starting him LOL. The best way to minimize his net-negative play and to actually have some potential benefit is playing him as 6th man, and our dumb ass team won’t do that lmaooo

  4. Way too high. Listen I don’t like PER as the sole way to evaluate a player but he’s 99. Taking that with the eye test, contract and attitude you have the makings of a terrible player

  5. Only 2.5 players on each team you would prefer over him? Im not advanced a hater enough to sit down and write it out but I doubt it.

  6. He could actually help our team a lot if he wasn’t stubborn. He’s capable of being a decent defender bc he has good hands and he’s an above average corner 3 point shooter. He won’t play that role to win though he wants to be mr triple double

  7. Russ is Top 5 most detrimental players to have on your team if you have championship aspirations.

  8. Glad he’s getting paid the 47 mill this year. His market value has been effectively destroyed the last year and counting, he’ll never get a big check again. Reputationally, he’s done, and I didn’t like seeing it when Allen Iverson was going through it and I don’t like it now. AI went broke tho so for Russ, for the work he’s put in throughout his career, I’m glad he was able to earn financial security for his family.

  9. Russ is like the Andrew Wiggins of team win stats. He’ll take a bad team and make them a 40 win team, then he’ll join a team with Lebron and AD and make them a 40 win team

  10. The way that I read these lists is that if everyone was paid the exact same salary, then Russ would be the 65th best player. The problem is that he is top 3 in salary. If you take into account salaries, then Russ would rate even worse than 65th. The $47 million is not equivalent to his value add and why he is so hard to trade.

  11. Not hating but his stats do him a lot of justice. Pretty sure he’s lower if we look at value. Then again maybe not

  12. He is on an expiring and has no trade value. He is the worst regular rotation player in the league. (Outside of the tanking teams)

  13. He still good, deserves to be top 75 all time. He was a BEAST 5 years ago. If it’s current list… i’d like to have a bottle of whatever the journalist drank to forget what he wrote

  14. 65th player in a league where there are 30 teams sounds like he is one of the best third-player of a team. I might even be OK with him if that’s what he’s paid for …

  15. These lists are so useless. I used to get so mad when Kobe would drop to 20th or 37th during the final years of his career, or when the Lakers would be Power Ranked 5th or 6th during their championship runs.

    Then I realized they get more engagement from stans to lower somebody (watch Lebron not even crack top-10 this year) so just… root for who you like, treat each other well, have fun watching the games. #lifeistooshort

  16. Isn’t that even generous? 65th means that he’s an above average starter, I don’t think he played like an above average starter last year

  17. 65–how? This ranking list is a absolute farce. Have you not seen Westbrick play for the Purple and Gold?

  18. He looked pretty bad last year but he was also in one of the worst situations. Bad fit, other two stars hurt, no team chemistry due to lack of roster continuity and trying to carry an undersized team of young developing players and verge of retirement vets. Russ took all that heat.

    I guarantee Lakes gonna feed him this year. Russ obviously gonna compete for his next contract and Lakes need him to increase his trade value OR actually make it work and compete for a title. Lakes gonna try and put out a buffet for Russ, let’s just hope he can eat it.

  19. Ain’t no way in hell Westbrick is better than Desmond bane, spencer dinwiddie, MPJ, John collins, lonzo ball, Jordan clarkson anfernee simons and DLo because atleast all of of these players could shoot.
