Velo list: reliever, reliever, reliever, reliever, reliever, reliever, reliever, deGrom, our guy. Tiny sample size for Ortiz, but that’s an elite list of names and other than deGrom they typically throw an inning or less per appearance.
The one positive trend that I’ve seen with the Cheringdon era, and trust me, I’m not giving the regime more credit than is due, is that there are prospects filtering to the ML team that have standout skills. Key with his defense, Cruz with his God-Tier EV, and now Ortiz with 98 percentile FB velo.
